TV TV TV TV TV

TV and Movies really are my weakness.

There is not much that beats sitting down or lying down with a blanket, your fav junk food (for me, bbq chips, bbq shapes [aussie] or kit kat balls) or even fruit (for me strawberries and sugar is yum yum yum) and a good movie or tv series marathon.

Gossip Girl as i mentioned before was a distraction not needed during exam week - i blame my friends ida and sue for that, me listening to their gossip girl talk and not understanding at all.

Documentaries I enjoy also - David Attenborough cannot be beaten when it comes to narration - Planet Earth is absolutely over whelming with its magnificent photography.

Prison Break - a good perve if you ask me, but not bad tv either! Wentworth Miller, :D

Heroes - love it - I still have Season 3 Part 2 is awaiting me.

Supernatural - i love it i love it i love it - i cannot wait for season 4 part 2 - Dean is my favourite - and omg the outtake from an episode in season 4 part 1, his lip-syncing of eye of the tiger, omg i loved it hahaha he is bad boy irresistible.

Ofcourse there are my english and aussie soap operas which i have lost track of due to them not being shown in Malaysia - including Eastenders, Holby City, Casualty, etc etc etc

Plus CSI etc etc

Hmmm

Must Watch...

IB English SL

Well I have officially finished my reading of the three plays which will be the focus of the last semester of IB English SL and Paper 2 of the final IB exams. Just to analyse them now. Anyways it seems i startd off readng the one i least enjoyed and finished with the one that brought on many laughs.

1. A Streetcar Named Desire - Tennessee Williams
2. Oedipus the King - Sophocles
3. The Importance of Being Earnest - Oscar Wilde

Surprisingly they were quick reads, I read the last two in one day and the other in one night. I shouldn't have procrastinated so much it seems.

However A Streetcar Named Desire doesn't have a bad front cover - with the not sooo bad to look at Marlon Brando.

Anyways as now I know what they are about - now to the less fun, analysis of the plays and finding the common grounds between the three

And oh how I look forward to the first day back in english - typical O'day setting us an essay first class back. [I hope you detect the sarcasm there]

And must I say 5-1 to liverpool! woot! thank you very much hhaha - go Gerrard, although he did miss one easy shot - but yes Ngog, newbi, took his place and also messed up what could have been their 6th goal. Never mind. Great match to watch. And liverpool on the top thank you :D

And dad has found his fav shisha flava - peach mint - hahaha he feels a bit less manly now.

Anyways fun dad-daughter bonding time :D Liverpool winning was just bonus [poor owen scraped his knee :( yes i know he is newcastle bt he use to play for liverpool and i still like him, and i miss crouch :( the stick insect of the football pitch who is now found at portsmouth]

F.R.I.M

Flipping
Ridiculous
Intense
Madness

Also known as:
Forest
Research
Insitute
Malaysia

Anyways so today we thought we would do some white person site seeing in an Asian Country - experience Malaysia you could say.

Mum says: Lets go to FRIM and you guys can do the canopy walk, but I won't do it because I'm scared of heights
- Well wasn't she the lucky ONE

My Dad, Me, My Brother and Little Sister started our journey up the stairs which lead to the canopy walk. With a ridiculous slope and almost metre high stairs (maybe a slight hyperbole) (and i think that is an oxymoron) the four of us started clambering our way up. Not after long my little sister began complaining, "I can't go any further" "I can't do it, its too hard, I can't take another step" crying her eyes out. What a drama queen, my dad brother and I were sweating like pigs (but wait, do pigs sweat?) rephrase we were sweating like men, sumo wrestlers in a steam room maybe. Anyways she is the littlest of us all, not a lot to carry up and she is the one breaking down - pfft I say. Anyways. I get behind her, hold her hands, basically push her to the top.

We reach the hut thingo where you climb up even more ridiculous stairs to the canopy walk. We were there, what a triumph and then my little sister throws up. And no she cannot do it in all the vegetation everywhere she has to do it in the hut thingo. Typical. Anyways. So we get up to the canopy walk and we are told some rules:
1. Don't sway the bridge
2. Keep 2 wood planks in between u and the next person
A bit worrying mayb?

So I am the last one to step out. Ready to take photos. But dammit I'm not going to take photos I'm holding on to the rope. And I look ahead. We are walking on a ladder with planks on it which is resting on a tree branch with ropes going every which way - OMG OMG OMG OMG and we are in Malaysia where in our brand new house things break within a few months - and I'm walking on this thing OMG OMG OMG.

So we do make it to the end, otherwise I would be possessing my laptop but nvm.
Then down another lot of treacherously steep steps. We get to the bottom and OH and pretty waterfall. Somehow we don't see the turn let trail so we go right. - THE WRONG BLOODY WAY.
We end up walking for 30 minutes thinking why is this taking so long to gt back to mum. So we call her and ask her about the map, because ofcourse she has it. Anyways so turns out we shud ave gone left at the waterfall!!!! OMG. Anyways turns out there is a big circle so we can keep going on the track and finally get back to mum. It only took another 30 mins tho. What made it worse was that my lil sis complained the whole time, I need to go to the toilet. Argh.

But one thing on that long walk that creeped me out was we heard 2 guns shots - i felt as though i was in a horror movie - cos the was no1 else on the track, just us, lost in the rainforest, no water, no food, nothing to protect us, vulnerable.

(Now who is the drama queen)

Anyways so I wouldn't recommend FRIM to anyone except for a few people:
1. A stupid boy I know who I shall not name because well no1 is reli interested in that
2. Sian - the horrible englishwoman who told us FRIM was lovely, well yeh she didnt do the bloody canopy walk. (she isnt really horrible but a friend of my mother)
3. A girl who in 4th grade stole all my friends away from me

HAHAHAHA

Oh 1 more
4. IB

:D

So what a piece of Malaysia I will never forget.

But hey there must have been something good - i chuckled a lot while writing this.

First Post

Hola

Soo I was reading my friends posts - and decided why not make my own, it seems cool. Well I already know that posts will be few and concentrated in my lumps of free time or procrastination. And I know that my writing is far from poetic and not as well written as some due to my limited vocabulary. But hey no one HAS to read it, right?!?

Anyways.

I've have a hard first semester of my senior year - masses of work - loss of concentration and dedication to my studies - the want to give up and party and watch TV and sleep - god I thought the first year of IB was bad - you 11th graders just wait for next year :P

But this Christmas has been great! Just spending time with the family. And although this semester had masses of work some how my group of friends managed to make the most of it and many memories were formed and will be cherished.
Take a look:

SENIOR YEAR AT A GLANCE

Group IV

And yes we did actually work on our Group IV - and I got the killer burn to prove it - a remaining horrible tan is still proof of the slaving hours my group spent on our investigation of the shores of Tioman Island.

Malaysian Studies Trip - LONG HOUSE SARAWAK

I'm a sucker for babies and not so much a sucker for exotic food. But the time the senior class of 2009 spent in the long house was one which will not be forgotten.
Waking up at 5AM to roosters and other animals making a hell of a noise under our beds. And for those unlucky ones waking with mosquito bites, or worse a cockroach too close for comfort.
Although those not so lucky seniors before us had built showers and toilets for our comfort - the first group who went up to the dam to clean it up, did SOMETHING WRONG and for the remainder of the trip, we had no running water, this resulting in masses of MKIS seniors from all over the world bathing in the river.
What a trip!

Anyways more will be added soon. PICS PICS PICS - i love photography and where ever I go I have a camera at my side - look forward to pictures of the lives of the seniors of MKIS in their last year in IB and in the world of highschool, also featuring memories from last year and my time with my lovely supportive family.
